Moving Up takes cash or will bill programs that assist people with moving costs.

Moving Up provides low-cost moving services to anyone in transition and in need. That could be an elderly person, someone with AIDS or other illness, or, of course, one of the uncounted homeless in our city. It could be a woman fleeing an abusive household, someone roaming from couch to couch, or anyone in crisis who needs to get his or her possessions into stable housing.

Our experienced moving staff have been homeless themselves and they understand, first-hand, the extreme stresses on our clients. Moving Up helps people from the Metro Boston area move into affordable housing. These days, with rents skyrocketing, we are moving people as far away as New Bedford, Central Massachusetts, Springfield, and even New Hampshire and Maine!
